Happy Canada D-eh!

Contrary to the title Canadians don't say Eh after everything but I thought it was a cute play on words. Over at the Outlawz they are having a celebration "Around the world" and have many challenges to do with Nationality, Patriotism, and where your from. I was born and raised in London Ontario, went to school in Toronto and Ottawa, and finally moved out west to Calgary, Alberta. I love Canada and wanted to show that love in my cards.

This card features a High Hopes image titled Team Canada, and Reminisce paper-maple leaf. I coloured the image with my copics and fussy cut around it creating layers using cardstock. Clean and simple.

Canadian Christmas

I am gearing up for the Christmas season already, while showing my patriotism to the wonderful country I live in. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. For those who don't know the beaver and the moose are two of Canada's national animals.

This lovely card features a High Hope Stamp titled Canadian Christmas greetings, Reminisce paper-maple leaf, and ribbon from my stash. I wanted to keep it simple but add a touch of sparkle.

You make my heart soar

I LOVE summer and the bright colours of supplies you can get at this time of year. They are so vibrant and fun. I broke out some of my digi's this last week and printed them off on my Epson printer to colour with my copics. A little tip if you don't like to always have to search your computer for digital images you have purchased is to make a binder with them in it. My printer has a scanner and copier so all I have to do is take the page out of my binder and copy the image. Technology...isn't it grand!

I used the following:
The Paper Shelter's Spring Swing image
Doodlebug sugar and spice 6x6 pad of paper
Copics
Kaisercraft rhinestones in orange
Dew Drop ink in Pink Petunia
Decorative scissors

Happy Father's Day

For the last two weeks I have been planning a father's day surprise for my husband. My five month old daughter and I got crafty and created a hand print ornament for his office at work. Obviously its her hand print but I also had her hold the paint brush as we made the clay into her daddy's favourite colour...green.

A present would not be complete without a card. So I made this one with her supervisory help.

For this card I used a Stampavie image Mr. Fit it, Graphic 45's design paper from their proper gentleman line, my Copic markers, and three Kaisercraft Rhinestones.

Styling

So today I have another scrapbook page for you. I plan on making a second page using the same paper as I have more photos I want to add but unfortunately ran out of time and steam tonight.

I picked up Bo Bunny's Petal Pusher paper a long time ago just because I loved the vibrant colours in contrast with the stark black. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with it but knew that one day I would find something to scrapbook. Sure enough my daughter has these cute little sunglasses that have the same colours as this paper line. I was thankful that I had picked it up and saved it. I fussy cut out the flowers and popped them up. I gave them a little extra "wow" factor by putting some bling on the centers of each flower. This is also my first scrapbook page that actually contains journaling. Normally I let the title speak for itself but I couldn't resist capturing these precious memories in words.

Scraping good times

I was in my local scrapbook store the other day and instantly fell in love with Graphic 45's little darlings paper line. We went and got a family photo and some nice professional photos of our little one at 3 months that I knew would look simply gorgeous. So I went to work and did my very first scrapbook page since her birth.

I used the following: Graphic 45 little darlings paper, Maya Road rose ribbon, Prima lace and flowers, Kaisercraft pearls in lemon and chipboard letters from We are Memory keepers.

She is looking terrific and is an inspiration to me while I am trying to lose my pregnancy weight.

I used the following:
Momento Tuxedo black ink
Doodlebug Happy Spring 6x6 Paper pad
AI Girlfriend Dancers stamp set

Lately I have been inspired by the colours brown, cream, turquoise, and red. I had to find an image that would suit these colours so I went on a hunt. I finally located one that tickled my fancy by The Paper Shelter.  I was introduced to them by a friend and I have fallen in love. If you haven't already done so you really should check out their digi's as they are super cute and fun to colour.

I used the following to create my card:
