Simply sweet

I managed to find some time today to create a very sweet girl card. I love The Paper Shelter images and have always loved the Rapunzel one. So when challenged with a picture inspiration challenge of spring it was clearly a great choice.

The image I used is from the paper shelter called Rapunzel, the DP is from Prima's Meadow Lark 6x6 pad, Reflections flowers from Michael's craft store, Want to Scrap pearls and of course my Copics.

Canvas creations

I recently took an online class by Christy Tomlinson on SheArt. A friend of mine had made a gorgeous canvas girl and I just had to know how to make one so I did my research and found Christy's amazing workshop and immediately signed up.

This art form is a great way to use all my left over scraps as well as some of those products that don't always see the light of day. Christy encourages you to use what you have and be creative about using found objects. I checked out my local dollar store and found all kinds of things to use, thanks to Christy's demonstrations and breakdown of what to look for.

I have attached some photos I took though my creative process but out of respect to Christy I will not share how I accomplished each step. I highly encourage you to check out her workshop. I am already awaiting the second one, once it is offered again.

"Spring"ing into Fashion

It is my second challenge being guest designer with Basic Grey Challenges and I have to say I had a blast. The next two weeks the challenge on the Basic Grey Challenge blog is "Spring colours" so jump on over and check it out. I love starting to see little shoots of green grass come peeking out on my lawn, the hope brought by the brightly coloured flowers just waiting to bloom, and getting out my spring jackets and hanging up the winter one for another year. So today I present to you a card inspired by spring fashion.

Supplies used:
Basic Grey Kioshi and Lauderdale 6x6 pattern paper pads
Greeting Farm image "Madeline"
Ribbon from the local big box craft store
My copic markers
Prima bling
