This is my very first blog tutorial. I have always loved learning new and exciting techniques, so I am so thrilled that I can try to pass on what I learned to someone else. I hope you are inspired to test this out yourself.
Materials used:
-Smooth black cardstock
-various other colours of cardstock
-Prisma colour pencil crayons (Any pencil crayon will do)
-White chalk ink pad
-White opaque gel pen
-Ranger's Dylusions stamps
-Jennifer Nilsson's Butterfly ballerina stamp
-EK success Scallop boarder punch
-Copic Markers
-Stardust stickles
-Kaisercraft pearls and rhinestones
Process
Step 1
Using white chalk ink pad and Ranger's Dylusion's stamp, stamp image around three sides of your smooth cardstock. Dry with a heat tool or let it dry for a half hour.
Step 2
Using your coloured pencils, colour in all of the leaves with your favourite colours.
Step 3
Outline the leaves and stems using an opaque white gel pen. This step really makes the leaves pop.
Step 4
Print off two of the Doodle Garden's Butterfly Ballerina stamp and colour with Copic markers to match the leaves of your background. Fussy cut around the images leaving a small white boarder. Add some Stickles to the ballerina tutu and rhinestones to the center of the flowers, butterfly body, and butterfly antenae. Mat an image and the 8 1/2 x 11 background to make a larger scrapbook page or just keep it small. Its all up to you. I also popped up the butterfly ballerina's to make them look like they were hovering over the page. I finished it off with three pearl flowers and a title. My miracle that has been my driving force for all of my creations lately is my 6 month old daughter, Skyla.
